Black Rings is a finish collection, not a metal one, which is why the styles vary so widely. It pulls in black titanium with concave centrelines, Celtic and milgrain detailing and nebula patterning; black and rose gold or black and blue faceted tungsten; satin and polished black ceramic; zirconium bands with tyre-tread patterning; and gold-plated titanium set against brushed carbon fibre.

How black finishes are made

Not all black is equal. Black ceramic and zirconium are black right through the material. Black titanium and black tungsten are surface treatments — very hard, but a deep gouge can show lighter metal beneath. Worth knowing if the ring will take a beating.
